Cylinder heads are off. I think the water got in around the bottom cylinder on the starboard side and/or the thermostat on the same side. There was pitting on the heads, but not on the block. My hope would be to clean and rebuild, I guess have the cylinder heads machined until smooth.

In the previous thread on this subject, someone suggested that if the crankshaft was rusted, I would be better off with a new powerhead.

Now that the lower unit is off, I'll try again to lift the powerhead tomorrow.
