SSIRED, sorry for your loss. I feel the same way about my 5 y.o. pound dog. Recently dropped 4k on her for surgery after a ruptured disk that paralyzed her. She's back to getting around pretty good now but is restricted from stairs for the rest of her days, which kinda sucks b/c our house has a reverse floor plan.....meaning I get to lug her 50 lb arse up and down daily....which I do not mind one bit. She's come to expect that I will carry her up any steps she encounters.
It is hard enough to lose one at 13 + years old. You really don't expect to lose them any sooner. Really sorry about your Buddy my friend.
