Reel,
T-Man tubes have worked the best for me as far as tubes go. I have tried many brands, LeTube,Santini, etc. and non have produced like the T-man Tube. The Tman's are a smaller diameter tube and the way they turn and roll when trolled slow triggers strikes. I always thought tube & worm was a joke, until my buddy told me about T-Man Tubes, and I am sold on the product. Before T-Man's I never caught squat trolling tube & worm and now we hook up constantly with them. I have had the best luck with the T-Man Snake in ebony & scarlet color. Also the black color snake works well and believe it or not the " bubble gum" color will bring them to the boat also. They make a few different varieties of tubes to suit your specific needs. Like I said I prefer the "snakes" which are 24" versus the 15" version. Trolling tube and worm is my favorite go to set-up when everything else just isn't getting it. I troll very slow when using this type of set-up, 1mph/2mph. I try and keep the speed at a steady 1.5mph which seems to be the sweet spot for trolling these tubes. If we are fishing in 30 feet of water over structure we let out 6 colors of leadcore and just let the tube lazily bounce of the bottom while trolling. We buy the T-Man Tubes at Cabela's in Hartford Ct. You can check if you have a local Cabela's in your area to see if they carry them there. Or you can order them directly from T-Man on their website http://www.tmancustomtackle.com/ I do not work for T-Man but I am more then willing to give them a good review because the tubes work great. I hope this info helps REEL, and nice seeing you again!
