Teleflex gauge all in onegauge set?

Getting ready to buy the new gauges and wanted to know if anyone has used this set. Little concerned about one gauge going out and having to replace the whole cluster gauge or would the longevity of this gauge set be the same. Also found several gauge set's that I like but they are only offered with the trim gauge set-up for Mercury/Volvo/Yamaha engines found very limited set-up's for a Johnson /oem motor. Is there a adapter or something and what is the difference between the two set-up's not trying to ask dumb questions it just happens that way. It just seems the only difference is the ohm's value.
Any input would be great...
