I am with you man with a few caveats. I would not mandate anything religious, I would leave it up to the communities to allow expression any way they wish as long as it does not interfer with anyone else doing the same.
I believe God spoke to people all around the world, and did so in many ways and would never tell anyone that my belief is the only way.
I would outlaw any religion that advocated world domination and the destruction of any other religion. I would outlaw the establishment of any law being used in this country other than the U.S Constitution.
I would not force anyone to salute our flag, but would ensure the schools in this country teach the true history of our founding and not the re-visionist crap that has become the venue in our schools.
At every level of education it would be mandatory the teaching of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Beyond that the individual schools can determine the agenda.
The separation of Church and State would mean what was meant when the Founders wrote it. That the States cannot force anyone to a established religion. But would not preclude the American People from expressing their faith in the public arenas or in public buildings. That was never the intent.
Judges would be restricted to the direct meaning of the Constitution not base their decisions on the most recent interpertation by a Judge which is what happened in this country under the Warren court where the Case Law made by a Judge becomes the law of the land.
That single thing is what has turned this country away from the Constitution and was the thing pushed by Progressives starting in the 1930's. With FDR removing sitting Supreme Court Justices because they would not find in his favor for his so called "Second Constitution" which is what brought us many of the ills of our dependent society today.
That is why a single Federal piece of dung Judge can over turn a constitutional amendment in the state of California voted in by SEVEN MILLION PEOPLE.
How far we have come from what our founders built, it is tragic, it is the reason we are in so much trouble today.
