			Please keep in mind I am a novice and running on some speculation here: Any chance the button is stuck that you push to keep it from going into gear when starting up? I have never looked at this close enough to see what it actually does. I assume it disengages a shifter cable. If this shifter cable is moving the connection at the transom, you might have an outdrive issue. I assume this was all working fine after the last time the outdrive was installed? You may need to pull the outdrive back a few inches to make sure the shifter "linkage" is set up correctly. rkc
