Naaa... kind of easy really. Take out the 2 long bolts on the top of your winch, then the 4 shorter screws on the sides near the bottom and unscrew the clutch knob. Take the two parts of the shell apart to expose the guts. Like Phatdady said, they are just friction washers like the drag on a fishing reel. Remove the old and replace with new. You can buy them directly from Powerwinch. Go to their site (www.powerwinch.com) and look at the manual for your winch. (Caution, their site sucks, so it might not be there) But their customer service is pretty good and will know what you need. Just buy the new disks, remove the old ones and reassemble. Piece of cake.
