Nice to see the son doing his part. It was my father that infused boating in my blood.
I'm trying to take my bottom paint Off. I've done half the transom and about 5' along the aft/portside. Being I keep the boat on a trailer I figure I would go around bare glass. I like the clean look. I also hope to get less resistance when going through the water. (am I fooling myself ?)
Anyway, great shots of the boat and the new pic at the base of your posts shows the boat in a very aggressive (Tough) light.
Soda blast is the way to go and a V20 here will cost you about $300 to get it done.
But after the gel coat is not good and you will have to barrier coat the bottom then paint color of choice.
