For where you are located now is the time to be shopping. Don't wait for the season to start, you'll only spend more money for an engine then.
Bingo on that one Ferm. Hunting season and winter (not a factor much in FL) often brings out some sweet deals on fishin stuff and with the economy in the crapper the time could be right.
