I had a '69 Bonita 15'8" ( same boat ) it came with a 65hp Johnson w/ cable steering. I replaced the deck w/ marine plywood and foam filed under it, repowered with a 115 'rude ( for skiing ) and finally replaced that with a 90 Yam. I had that boat for 25 years till I bought the V-20. I sold it to this my Lady friend for her kids to use.
Great lil' boat. I almost miss it. Only replaced it with the Wellcraft after almost getting rolled over by a wave 15 miles out while dolphin fishing. VERY close call. I warned the buyer and her kids to not stray out past the Inlet.
