When you push down on the "floaty" areas, does it feel like there is only a thin piece of "glass" moving or does it feel like the glass is still attached to a plywood core?...if it's a matter of re-attaching glass to wood, you may be able to drill a series of small holes thru the glass and inject an adhesive, then repair the holes... If you don't mind the look, you could use some SS oval-head screws w/finish-washers to pull it down...done in a proper pattern, I wouldn't have a problem if it were mine...of course the pre-drilled holes need to be filled w/ something like 4200 for a good seal... It'll be interesting to see the solution...keep us posted...
