Default HOw's that for a stiff upper lipLOL

ok, so the wife's working midnights. That mean no noise during the day as she sleeps, ie grinding cutting or working on the boat in general. I cut the grass before she got home and put the hitch on yesterday. As many of you suggested, I went fishing. Me the man van and my trusty pole. In coming tide plenty of squid and cut menhaiden. Even brought sun screen. NOw it's nothing to get several calls to the jetties here for people hurt or stranded. Never did I imagine after a brief hour and a half of fishing, that I would slip off the rocks and take an oyster shell to the foot. Right on the inside of my left big toe. As I staired in horror watching blood flow out across the rocks, my pole doubles over. I quickly set the hook and began to fight. Finally an older gentleman sitting near by seas this and walks over, he comments on the amount of blood and that perhaps I should tend to my injuries and not worry about the fish. IS this guy for real?

As the fish enters the shallows I can make out the outline of a cow redfish, way to big to keep. SHe swims for the rocks, the line goes slack, and I head for the man van. I reach for my first aide kit forgetting I put it in the new 120 quart cooler I bought for the boat. By the way, it firts perfect along the stern, it's going to make a nice bench/cooler. But it's not doing me any good now. I tear through the glove box and locate the ERSP I keep there, McDonalds napkins, place a few on my foot and sinch my sandles as tight as they will go. I head for home and spend the next 20 minutes digging mud and shell pieces out of my foot. I'm just glad I had poroxide and derma bound here at home. So.... The rest of today will be spent with foot up and researching ideas for my boat. Thank god for derma bound, otherwise I'd be looking at a bill for stitches.
The good news is, there's another tide change this evening so if the foot's up to it, I may be right back out there.
