Wireless routers send 100 MBS if you have it wired to a computer and all Wireless connections are 54 MBS
And you don't have to have the same name brand router and card, I have a Linkys router and 3com wireless. My house is wired I have 4 computers hard wired, and I have the laptop on the wireless. Its this way cause when I set up the houase it was like 5 years ago before wirless got cheap, But if I ever move I will be all wirless, except my computer cause I like speed!!
