Thing about Durabak is it is rubbery. There is no sanding it off! It is an excellent nonskid and easy on the feet. It also makes the deck feel more solid and 4 oz sinkers bounce. It has never peeled or chipped. However, mine (light grey) developed a "patina" of dark patches that cannot be scrubbed off. I think to recoat it I would have to wipe the whole thing with Xylene and hope the new coat sticks.
