had to replace a case half on mom's 03 5.3 suburban.... used an aftermarket improved case ....
If you park in a clean garage and keep an eye out for drips on the floor you don't need to worry as much... it will usually only be a few drops at a time but eventually the case is empty and that is when it dies. Check your fluid level once in a while.. only takes a couple minutes
