They normally pull Starboard side, the torque tab should be to the Starboard side. It essentially steers the back of the lower to the port side ever so slightly while underway. I have been running for so long with no feed back or hydraulic I nearly forgot. Set the tab so that the boat steering is neutral at normal motor trim and speed.
