I actually got the idea for the decking boards on here believe it or not. Someone posted a picture of a guy who did the entire floor with decking boards amd that's when the lightbulb went on in my head!

I can't see your pics but I get the gist...composite deck boards would make great floor hatches!! I never even thought of that! I bet it looks great and like you said cheaper and just as durable as star/seaboard.
