So I have a 2000 Johnson 150 which used to run on old controls (when the repowered the '84 controls stayed and they used an adapter to hook up the post '96 johnson). I just installed new controls and cables and everything works (except tach, see below) but I can't figure out how to power the gauges (fuel and volt). On the old controls there was a two wire plug that went hot when the ignition came on and that juiced the two gauges. Now with the new controls there is only a 8 pin plug to the system check/tach but without splicing into one of those wires there is no hot for the other gauges. Any suggestions? I am thinking there may be a hot off the tach that I jumper to the others but can't figure it out.

Onto the tach, I need an extension for the 8 pin plug from the controls to the dash, is this the right part??? Part #176717 http://www.maxrules.com/fixomcmovers.html It sounds right, but that is the ONLY place that has it, weird... Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. -Svence
