Default Any suggestions?? (pics)

well boys the boat sat in the water all last summer and she got some unwanted visitors. I know I have to pry these things (barnicles) off with a putty knife....but then what? How do I get off the left over residue?? any suggestions or experience is appreciated ;D :-/ ;D

couple weeks ago the wind played hell with my tarp >:(

I told the wife to smile for the boys, and she got camera shy :-/

and this last one you can see where i was talking about how the rub rope i replaced shrunk on me over the course of the summer (see the gap) :-/
