Default Looper or Not

Hey guys

I was poking around my motor owner's manual and under the motor specs I found the following:

" Two-Cycle, 60 Degree V, 6 cylinder, Loop-Charged "

Been new to the outboard motors i ask you, is this motor what people call a " Looper " ?

The motor model # is J150EXEC

Thanks

I was told that these looper motors last longer than high compression conterparts.

I was also told that these motors have a lower compression, do you what's that suppose to be?

Thanks

For a while I though my comp. gauge was off by calibration. My compression numbers are all 95 psi except one cylinder that's 94. I suppose she's still in very good shape.

Gonna do a decarb with seafoam tomorrow and clean her up a bit.

Do you recommend a special method or sequence?

Thanks

Bass, my '86 150 Rude had a screw-on nozzle on the side of the carbs...allowed a can of OMC Fogger to be attached ... tech told me to run 1/2 can into it (while engine running at idle on muffs) night before and let it do it's work over night...then next day, take to water and run 2nd half thru motor at WOT until the can runs out...so that's how I did it...took cowling off the motor, had my daughter open 'er up goin' across big-water while I sat on the splash-well and unloaded the can...went like a charm ...daughter said, "Daddy, I didn't know our boat would go that fast!" ... ;D ...

that 86 was a cross-flow motor

i fog my motors with Marvels Mystery oil while running on muffs after it's warm i spray some in each carb with it idled up to around 1500 till it about dies then cut off and cover till ready to use next yr.
