Both for 1400 - get a cheap set of omc dual controls and a steering link are - oh crap thats right its an 18 not a 20 :-X

Seriosly, I guess it depends on how they look. Does the one for $1000 look $600 better? If not, buy the $400.

Hey Kajun, try Florida Sportsman magazine online. Go to boat store and click on motors. Also go to their forum section and click on announcements.

Seacrets,

I dont think the other one had scuppers, there is just no way.

MAN I wish I would have gotten his phone number!!!! I would like to take a ride in it and see how it performs. :-/

Here is another pic....

I dont see scuppers, but you never know for sure.....

Oh and Im not talkin about a little bracket, the one I have is a full 29" setback just like this one. :o

Here is the deal....Im just a dumb redneck. The thing is either gonna sink or float.....Ill do the bracket, pay up on my insurance and launch the sucker!!! 8)

I wouldnt be so hellbent on it, except I REALLY want a full transom with a nice livewell in it and a spacious cockpit. ;D

I might pour a yard a concrete into the anchor hatch...thatll correct my problems!! :D

Kajun, there is an outboard place Skools sent me the link to awhile back..I lost it...anyways, he buys motors from em and they have em for incredibly good prices.

PM him and get it....its up in North GA I think....near him. ;)

on the motor decision......that 79 would have to look some kinda good for me to come off odd another 600 bones for a one year newer motor.

I say jump on the 78 and throw some paint on it later if its worth keepin...either way you aint out much. For 400 bucks you can get SeaTow too and have em tow you home each return trip to port! :D

Heck it may run for 10 years and be the best motor you ever owned. 8)
