baitwell airator ?

hi,
I have a 1995 21-V steplift, and my baitwell bubbler quit working.
I can hear the buzz, but where did they hide this thing ??
Any suggestions what to replace it with ?

Unscrew the panel for the horizontal rod storage next to the baitwell. It will be mounted up high. There will be a thin plastic air tube running from it to the aerater in the well. Check your connection for free flow before you replace the pump.

Seakindly , I no longer have mine hooked up . If you find that you need another you are welcome to it . I just have to pull it off the boat .

Thanks Labii, mine works just fine. Maybe chipde will need it. I really don't use mine. It is much better for your bait to change the water, as that not only aerates, it also removes their wastes. I could see using it to keep fish alive while transporting over land.

Chipde, I see you're a TEXAN. What do you fish for, and how long have you owned your V21?

I am the original owner of this '95 21-V, bought it in Englewood Florida and fished around the Gulf near Stump Pass with it for years for anything that's legal & tastes good.
I love that boat - nice dry runner, clean and easy on maintenance !
We moved to Houston TX, 4 years ago and late this summer got rid of our property in FL and moved the boat to Galveston.
Next week I'm getting it out of storage and tune it up to go explore on this side of the Gulf of Mexico and West Bay of Galveston, Reds and Flounder seems to be good over here !

Well folks that did it - took out the rod panel and - yes - there it was - mounted in the ugliest place they could find I guess.. way up there above the baitwell - behind the rod holder...
the tubes still looked all right - although, one side coming from the pump had a kink in it- since I was at it, I replaced the hose with some heavier gauge (same inside diameter) but I figured less prone to getting a knick in it over time.
It took some acrobatic arm moves & bloody knuckles to replace the pump though - why don't the folks who design or manufacture stuff, think a bit more about Service impact ??
There was no need to place that pump in that spot - they could have mounted it right there at the opening behind the rod panel !
btw. I found the exact same air pump (a "Pro Air") at Boaters World on Galveston.

Just out of morbid curiousity - how much did it cost?

$54.99 - actually I paid a bit too much for what I needed, since the pumpassy was part of a package to turn anything into a aerated baitwell -
package contained:
- elec. on/off switch assy with mounting plate
- 2 plastic tube guide assy's (about a foot long) with bubbler stones mounted on the bottom (like you see in aquaria) - these guide assy's can be attached (vertically) in whatever container you want to convert to a baitwell..
- the airpump assy (mounted on rubber shock absorber which has screwholes for attachement of pump - above the top water level of the well) - this airpump has 2 independent airpump vessels with 2 exhausts working of the same exciter
- a decent amount of tubing to hook up this thing.
As you can see it was more than I needed but everything that has "boat" in front of it - or is in any way connected to it - is too expensive anyway... :^)
I figure, I'll use the left over stuff to mount in one of these large pool chlorine tablet buckets and connect another aerator pump to it to make a "portable" baitwell..
