Default Here's a tank

These things here are one solid tank for rough water, but that looks like twin V8 JOHNNY-RUDE outboards on the back :o. Those things can burn around 20-22 GPH of fuel EACH at cruise :-X. The fuel dock would love ya though.

There is a guy around the corner from my house who has a 24 ft Stamas hardtop in his driveway that has never moved. He bought it 5 years ago and sat it in his driveway and has never even tried to start it ??? It sits on a 2001 dual axle Load Rite trailer. I can never seem to catch the guy outside, I would love to buy it for a song and put a bracket and E-tec on the back 8)

There definately solid boats built less than an hour from where I live. There VERY well known by me for there commercial service, but this one with TWIN V8 GAS HOGS would eat you alive to run. Consider 40-45GPH just to run it at a light cruise, around 60-65GPH if you roll the hammers up :o.

OOPS; I just re-read the ad, the engines and trailer are EXTRA!

Ha! I had one of those. Same year (1973). Mine had the pilot house but no flybridge. They really are built like tanks. One of the most stable fishing platforms and a toasty warm pilot house. I kept it slipped in a river up here that is known for being one of the more dangerous inlets on the east coast. It generally claims at least one life per year. The outgoing tide coupled with an east wind produced some nasty standing waves. I ventured out a few times in 10-12 footers with a couple breaking up and over the hard top. The boat took it like a champ. Usually better conditions once you cleared the inlet. Definately not for the faint of heart or lesser boats. The owner of the marina thought I was nuts sometimes, but admitted that if one wanted to go out in those conditions in a boat of that size, that was among some of the better choices. Made me feel a bit more confident anyways. 8)

CB, you talking about the North River inlet in Scituate? If so, I agree it can be one dangerous piece of water.
