It took a little getting used to. At rest the bow sits slightly higher than before, because I see a little more bottom paint as I look forward. The additional weight at the transom means it handles a little different, too, especially at speed in a good cross-wind. At first I thought I might have to add trim tabs, but after getting used to it I'm not sure I need them. But I'll say this much -- added weight plus added horsepower plus the change to hydraulic steering made her feel like a completely different boat. The power is awesome! I just had to get accustomed to all the changes.

Oh, I do! ;D I'm not a full-throttle-all-the-time kind of guy, but I love to open her up now and then and really make time. But what I REALLY enjoy about this motor is that it jumps up on plane so fast! What's more, I can stay up on plane at what seem to be slower speeds than before. With the old motor, and especially when any slime accumulated on the bottom, I often had to keep her at or near full throttle just to stay up on plane. Of course, that old motor was pretty wore out! ;) ::)

Sounds like you put together a good power/weight combo...and a PURDY one at that...dyin' to have 200 screamin' ponies on mine...still thinkin' E-Tec's small-block 200 is best for my 20" transom...weighs less than what's there now...when I get it, I'll come down and we can RACE!!!...whadda good idea... ::) ;)...
