Kinda weird these guys have showed up this early, normally april 1st.
spanish have not shown up in numbers yet

no complaint, i'm eatin good tonight

I'm jealous, I never have been able to dial in on the pomps, oddly enough, they don't show up around here much, but I see more of them further North. Only thing we can figure is the amount of fresh water that comes out of our rivers may affect the salinity or water temps.

Probably right spare. They feed on small crabs and sand fleas and like salty water. The florida record ,little over 8 lbs, was caught up in the head of st joe bay(very little fresh water flow into it), on a mirrorlure. A guy was trout fishing in the fall of the year and hooked it.
I cant see them good enough to site fish for them, i surf fish on beach. Pole in the holder and me in the chair dozing.
