Smile Cushions!

My cushions were destroyed in hurricane Katrina, had them in the house. Been looking for replacements (but I'm cheap) ever since.

Found these yesterday on craigslist, 20 minutes away! $80 bucks.

Two things,

Guy said they are from a v20, I'm sure he's right, but the square part doesn't fit my cutout, I should be able to modify it easily enough. Are they from a 70's V20?

The vinyl is cleaning up nice! The zippers are shot, planning on just cutting out what's left of the zips, & then stitching them up. What do y'all think of that? I have a buddy with a sail sewing machine, so I guess I could replace them, but I don't see the need for zippers.

Hmmm.... these are the ones I found a few years back for my 78 V20. They fit like a glove.

Yup, that's what mine looked like. I knew these weren't the same, but close. Sure could have been a v.

They cleaned up great, put them in the boat & it looks like I'll need to trim at least two of the pieces, The sides and front piece overlap about 4 inches.

The center part will be made into one piece, maybe just a cushion, I have a ladder under there.

But bigger beats smaller by a bunch, I can make this work.

$80 is a great price!!

You might consider replacing the zippers.
Trying to get the cushion cover material under the foot of the sewing machine with the foam inside is going to be pretty tough. It's not impossible but you might be disappointed in the finished job. To do the zippers the foam will need to be removed then invert the covers then replace the zippers then reverse. You can use a chain zipper or a Vislon. I kind of like the chain zippers on cushions myself.
