Yea, these are the "dumb" yotes. I get others that show up from time to time that run the swamp edge but they dont hang around like these are/were. We have a large generation of Poults runnin around right now and thats what they were keen on and couldnt leave them alone. Before we finally caught up with the one they had killed two poults and one fawn........unacceptable behavior. I dont mind a passerby but just dont hang around and start killin off my game.

I gotcha, didnt know how thick they were there. There are pretty bad here in certain places. This weekend was nice as far as weather, seen a few deer but out of range as usual. Its taking some time to learn this new property and key in on deer without getting too close and getting busted. Friday evening from a blind I sat up on the gas line in a food plot. This was a spot I hunted saturday overlooking a swamp crossing. I really like swamps and its ate up with tracks from them skirting the edge of it. Rifle season is a couple weeks out here and the nannies will start dropping for sure but I really hope to stick one with an arrow before then.

In the meantime, feast your eyes on this guy Ive been chasin. Hes dodged me by an hour one morning, slipped behind a tree the next and ran out behind me so fast that I couldnt chamber a round fast enough or realize Id pee'd a little when it happened.... almost a perfect trailcam video..... http://youtu.be/obV-Czn5obc

Well it took me a few weeks but I finally got keyed in on the deer movement a little better. Seen about 10 saturday between daylight and 12. I made my move around 130 to get closer to where they were crossing in a food plot. It paid off and smoked a nannerhead at 48 yards about 4pm. Not a huge one but the only one in range. Gun opens next weekend so there will be some bodies on the ground by 8am on the 21st. Here my doe, she was only about 70lbs but fine eating. I also decided after hearing some good things to try the heart for the first time. I slow cooked it with some tenderloin last night and other than the texture I swear you couldnt tell a difference. It was awesome. I cant believe I been throwing them out all my life!
