Rough story about that ferry.

There are many video's to utube and see ships encountering rough seas.

The Aircraft Carrier hitting a 90' wave on the bow shows just how sturdy those ships are.

The fishing boat coming in somewhere around Iceland is a lot more extreme to watch.

In the V, a plain nasty ride is the 4' - 5' tight steep whitecaped Atlantic ocean on the bow for miles on end. Even with the curtains tight, some water gets forced through with wind. Not a dangerous sea condition, just bit of a beating.

I wasn't particularly afraid until the helicopters showed up. We were making headway and were above water, mostly. When the truck came off the ferry, I about panicked. All I could think was that there was $60k worth of equipment and two brand new Econoline rear doors on the bottom of the lake. How was I going to explain this? This was 1988, no smartphones everywhere and most people weren't carrying cameras with them everywhere.
