| large pompano did not get out until after lunch on saturday, went over to shell island and decided to soak a fresh shrimp & frozen sand flea. lines in the water at 1:00, caught this girl at 3:15, lines out at 4:30. this was the only thing that hit the rods all day. it is the largest one i have ever caught. 18" to the fork, weight 5 lbs. fl record is 8 lbs 4 oz, so they come bigger, but she made a fine meal. |
