Default cap screw for trim motor

i have a 1988 mercury o.b. 150 and i am looking for the trim fill screw , its nla from mercury and i cant find it on ebay does anyone know where i can get one,its the screw that you take off when fillinf the resivoir

Are you trying to get one direct from Merc?...have you asked a Mercury DEALER?...even if he doesn't have one in stock, he may be able to put ya on the trail of a used one...

is that the trim that is located inside the boat, or the one under the motor on the outside?

out side the boat [fill tude ]attached to the motor, mercury said its not available,

I got mine a few years ago from here:

It is local to me in Connecticut so I drove down and he let me tool around his boneyard and find one and remove it. He charged me around $5.

I know he ships parts all over, not sure if he has a minimum $$ value.

why not find a suitable replacement at the local hardware store.... cut to correct length and use with a rubber or teflon washer
