Default 85 V20 For Sale

1985 V20 for sale. Currently the boat is in Vermont, but I may be bringing it to Southern Connecticut in a few weeks. I have had the boat for six years. Prior to that it was owned by my brother in law, who was the original owner. I may bring it back to his house to sell, so that it will be closer to those that are interested in seeing and buying it.

Hull and inside are solid. Has two captain seats, live well and pump. Merc Black Max 150HP. Motor was rebuilt five years ago (cost me $5000 to do so). Lower unit was replaced six years ago. Brand new starter 1 year ago. I replaced the fuel lines last year. Motor runs good.

I just don't need such a big boat for the water I now bring it on. I will stop there since you guys already know about V20s and how wonderful they are. Sort of like preaching to the choir. The trailer (nine years old) is a 24 foot sea lion and I have a brand new spare tire for it. I would like $6300 for the boat and trailer. Boat is clean, winterized properly and covered. I will be getting it ready for summer tomorrow and can take more pics of the inside and motor then if you want them just let me know.

Cindy, welcome to V20.com...it appears you have a great, relatively unaltered V20 for sale. You are right, we know 'em pretty good as far as what they are supposed to look like...it might be helpful to post some pictures of close-ups so we can better see what yours looks like in more detail.

Good luck on selling her...

Default Thank you

Thanks for the welcome. I have been on this site since I bought my V20 and have found all sorts of advice from you guys. I am very thankful for that! I will post more pics later today after I get it uncovered for the summer. About the price: I was offered $7500 for it last summer, but was not ready to part with her. I recently saw one in NJ for $7500 that was faded and had a sketchey motor on it. It has sold already. I may go down to $6000, but not lower. She is worth it.
