My county carried the torch for smaller government and a conservative approach to the budget. Turns out our vote still didn't mean bupkiss. Oh well, 4 more years of gridlock. The fine folks in Ohio just cast their vote for and thus have narrowly re-elected Obama messing up the plans of this conservative working class guy that desperately hoped to see a change in government.

Turns out immigration, gay rights and abortions were the most important topics. Job creation and fixing the economy when shopping for a president were not as important. (77% hispanic, 95% of all blacks, 55% of all women, 70% in ages 18-25) Minority vote is 28% of the electorate.

We might all be Americans but I just got a mandate that I need to be more tolerant as a white minority.
I could repute his every word, but they stand in victory. A win is a win.

For the record, Mitt ran a clean and honorable campaign. Thanks for the effort and thanks for running.

Those "bastards in Ohio"?
As one of those proud Buckeyes I'm very happy that we can help save this country from such narrow minded thinking people who would treat anyone different than themselves as lesser people or not as deserving as they view themselves.

And for someone from Florida to complain about Ohio? I say clean your own house befor complaining about ours.
Twelve years after the embarrassment and Florida still can't figure out how to run their election. Maybe we call in the National Guard for 2016?

Jeffmo,
I never saw your complaint until today on the other thread. I am sure you are proud that you helped win the election. I meant to cast no stones at the fine folks from Ohio. Just venting. I will adjust it accordingly which means it will still appear on your post in the original version. Not trying to hide anything.
Florida went the same way as Ohio but results were delayed due to the preservation of the vote. We got it right the last two or three times. I didn't like the results of the past two but had nothing to do with the inability to count ballots back when. Palm Beach County is riddled with retirees from up your way, they couldn't figure out how to make a hole in a piece of paper with a sharp object. LOL- seriously? Joking. But seriously..
Ohio was the messenger bringing bad news and the object of my anger and disgust at the loss. At that split second in time the Electoral Votes of Ohio simply crushed the last glimmer of hope for a Romney miracle. I am not claiming to be better than you nor believe that my oppositions vote should be deminished by anything I write, say or believe. For goodness sake everyone has a right to vote, we are all equal and free to say and do what we want within certain bounds and with courtesy and respect.
Obama won your state by a 3% margin. It was a close election. You win.
Having lost, I am devestated. I am a sore looser and it was a big big loss. I want you to know it was not a personal attack upon you, the voters of Ohio or the Ohio State Buckeyes.
If I offended you I apologize. Vic
