Nice looking brightwork as well. Did you do that or was that the PO? Nice clean looking boat.

Brightwork was us. We've put a lot of time and elbow grease into cleaning her up real good. Still some minor things to do. I've still got to add the stereo system in, a dual battery system, and we've settled on the Humminbird 587 ci HD fishfinder/GPS. Some trimwork in the cuddy still has to be done as well. We don't know if we want to trim it in teak or ???? Still to be determined. Right now, it's just completely stripped and cleaned up.

Unfortunately it looks like we aren't going to make our launch date of July 1st either. Tropical storm Debby is ruining the weather here in South Florida and this weekends forecast looks like crap.

Stay tuned......

Here are some of the before pictures when we bought it. We DID NOT pay the ridiculous $6999 price that is on it. We paid 4K cash for it.

Teak always looks good and will stand up well to the elements long after the varnish wears off but holy mackerel that stuff is high dollar. I found a bunch of mahogany and it came out really nice. Some is a light grain while other pieces are a deep red. It all looks good but the deep red really looks sharp.

I redid my wood two winters ago and after a year in the sun there is a spot the size of a dime on the bow that could use a touch-up.

When i replaced thr teak in the 250 Sportsman, i bought 5/4x6x8' pieces of teak deck boards and sawed them to the size i needed then ran thru thr drum sander. Looked amazing. Think i paid $28 a board.

When i finish the v build it will have no teak. Too much work for me.

We got our teak at a marine parts warehouse. For the strips for the cuddy they charged me $2 a foot and for the 3/4" wide they charged me $1 a foot. I couldn't pass up that deal. They have TONS of it. I will be back there this Saturday to check some other pieces.

Looking good Disturbed.
Hey, if you're interested, I was going to put my Humminbird up for sale.
I can put you on a better system than the 587 at a lower cost. I have the 798ci HD that has side and down imaging. I will also include a Navionics East Coast Fish-N-Chip if you're interested.
I want to get a bigger screen for my tired old eyes. Let me know and we can work out the details.

One step closer today. Put the T-top on that I got off of Craigslist for $450 bucks. Should have the new black canvas in about 2 weeks. Changed the boat launch from today to July 5th.
