i've also mounted them through a piece of starboard with a crapload of 5200 to cover old seat holes, if nothing else be a temporary fix till you can do an involved repair. or would be good for years if sealed up good, then could notch it around tank cover. it actually looks pretty good if you round and smooth out the edges

My 84 had those holes under the pedestals

Hey Willy, nice find on that seat/leaning post. That ought to look good in your boat. My 77's got a 2 1/2 in. hole under the starboard pedastal but had back to back with no hole on the port side. I removed the back to back and mounted a pedastal seat on the port side using predrilled holes, plenty of 5200 and #14 stainless steel screws. Its held good so far. Ive got two new Todd extra wide captains chairs ordered, can't wait till I get them in.

I don't think they would install the pedestals that require a hole in the deck between the tank cover and the floor. I have been wrong before, they need a stern talkin to if they did. I have not seen those attachments for the footrest used like that. Only welded on with the round side/pivot out. Nice find. I was thinking you looked comfy sitting in them captains chairs at the Barnegat Bay Raftup. You will miss them when rafted-up but you will love the storage and leaning for fishing, wave riding and the extra space for a cooler underneath. Just make sure you mount it close enough to make leaning comfy while at the wheel.

Willy, I used the toggle anchor bolts to secure my T-top to the deck. They work great. By the way, if you go that route, buy them from here:

Much cheaper than other places. Pack of 10 for like $27.00...

Those rear brackets I'm guessing may be for a grab handle for someone sitting on a cooler next to the transom. The CC I fished on over the weekend had one and that is how I used it on the ride in.

Sweet leaning post. Gonna look good!
