Default trim motor

got the daydreamer back from the shop last night. had both shift and throttle cables replaced. good thing to as the throttle cable end came apart when i was looking at it. was going to save old one for a spare. but now the trim/tilt motor is sticking. looks to be the next thing on the list to repair! motor is a 1994 175hp johnson ocean runner, anybody have one or a lead to one.going to clean boat back up this am and take out for the first time this year.when i replace trim iought to be good as i have replaced every pump and or cyl on this boat, new helm hyd pump, outboard cyl pump, trim tab pump, bilge pump. i am glad there are no more pumps on board or i am shure they would need replacement!!! ha ha !!!hope for a good run today will post again after run to day. but the daydreamer will get to spend the night at her new dock tonight!!!

Default trim motor

took the daydreamer out ran great!! had two problems one lowrance x65 fish/depth finder would not come on. this has happen before.you can do a manual reset by pushing power and another botton but i have forgot witch one. anyone have a feel for this? problem#2 trim tabs not responding finally got then to work a little but they are out of sink. i think fluid may be low, going to look into that this am and see if i can get them working. it sure makes a big!!!!!!!difference running with out them!!!takes more rpm:s do less speed!if anyone has sugestions please post!!!!!!!

Are your tabs Bennett hydraulics or Lenco electrics?...I don't know about Lenco, but Bennett is well known for their customer service...you can contact Bennett best thru their website and get their 800#...or you can go on The Hull Truth and ask Tabman...he is with Bennett and I've seen him solve tab probs on the forum...wish I could offer more info on Lenco if they're electric...let us know how it comes out...

Default trim tabs

worked on the tabs today. found a blown 20 amp fuse under console. replaced fues then could here motor run.(tabs are bennett hydraulic) fluid in pump seemed low so toped it off and ran tabs up and down about 8 or 10 times started to work.i think they had air in them. topped off fluid again and ran them up and down several times. now seem to be working. did not get to run her today as bad thunder storm came up. so will try to test out this week, i hope this will take care of the problem. now if i could just figure out the depth/fish finder i would be good!!!!!!
