Sounds to me like a plugged high speed jet. The idle circuit normally has it's own feed or uses a very small amount. When you hit the throttle the engine will rev due to the accelerator pumps shot of fuel, but once it uses that it runs out and stalls. Like spare said, it doesn't take long for a carb to plug anymore with the wonderful fuel we now have. I reccomend to all of my customers no matter wat it is, install a fuel shut-off and run the engine out of fuel if you won't be using it under load in the next week. Even idling an engine on the hose often times won't move enough fuel to keep varnish from accumulating. Take away the fuel, and teh varnish cannot deposit and plug up the jets. I for one don't like having to rebuild carbs every month for people as it is an unnecesary hassle for them and me. And it doesn't take but just a little water to get into a carb and slime the jets over to the point that it will effectively plug them either.

Default fuel

taking your advice i soaked ,cleaned both fuel filters they were a bit dirty. so i put them baack in started her up and she runs now even at high idle. i even was able to put her in and out of gear many times. i then reved her to about 1500 rpms and she held well. BUT as soon as i pulled back the slightest bit she stalls again. and i pulled the seperator gas smells fine with no evidence of water now what do you guys think
