squid were showing up about 3 weeks ago and knew these guys were not far behind. not your best fighters or table fare, but fun to catch after not pulling a string since christmas.

Nice oily fish.. They make great chum when ground up or chunked. I can't wait for the Spanish to get back up here.. That means the blues will be right behind them chasing them Northward towards Boston. While I'm not a fan of Bluefish per se for table fare, the small snapper blues do make for some right good eating, and I love tagging into large Blues just for the fun of catching them. Great fighters. Tons of fun with a barbless hook... takes a certain amount of skill...wish I had some.
