Default fuel tank restraints

I have a 77 V20 with the fuel tanks that mount port and straboard in the gunnels and I have not been able to find any kind of strap that will secure them, the straps that i have found are like pipe hanges but seem to rust as soon as the come out of the package. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Is it sad I'm replying at the bar? They make plastic rolls of pipe hanger, plastic don't rust. They are very sturdy and seems to take the turns better than the metal ones. I'm new and this may not be the best option but we'll see what the old timers say. Old as in to this board, not to dirt as the comparison surely has been made before.

not sure how they are held in on your V, but i used aluminum yard sticks bent to shape(its nice to have the graduations on the yardsticks) to go over the tank, I used a piece of an innertube to isolte them from the tanks. I found the yardsticks at Wallmart for around $3 apiece. I ended up painting them white. BTY, don't try to straightne them after you've bent it, you only get two or three bends before they break
