Here's a few more pics on what I've been up to since I put her in storage for the winter. Went to replace the center pannels on the rear access doors and when I took the screws out the whole thing fell apart. As you can see what a mess. I also built a stand for the kicker. BC |

Put a new lower unit on this fall and decided to dress up the upper to make it match. I sanded it all down almost to bare metal, went to the local paint store and had them make up a couple of cans of epoxy primer and top coat. This is the primer I put on a couple of days ago. I'll let it cure for about a week then spray the gloss black finish coat. Just ordered new alpha one decals to put on when I'm finished. Should look like new,I hope! BC |

The paint store in my area can mix any paint and put it in rattle cans for small jobs. I didn't feel like getting the spray gun out so I went that route. They have automotive, marine, anykind. This he told me is a marine epoxy, what brand I don't know, that alot of the local boat yards use. I'll let ya know how it holds up, but that might be awhile since the lake is about iced over. BC |
