Jersey Stripers- new personal best this week
As the season comes to an end I took a Thursday off work and went solo. Took a run 12 mile to Seaside Park and found a pod of bunker pinned near the beach by blues and bass. As I got in close there were 2 guys on kayaks coming out to fish them too. I heard one say "Holy sh.. did you see the size of that bass?" I saw a swirl. I cast my snag hook, snagged a bunker and left him there. BANG! 42 pounds on the hand scale! No camera. I let it go cause I rather eat the smaller ones. The guys in the yaks didn't have snag hooks so I gave them some old rusty ones from the bottom of a bucket. We all had a blast. Took home a 23 and a 17 pounder for the table.

Awesome day for sure. Doesnt get any better than that....Looks like my fall run may be a bust although I only made it out one stinkin time this fall. Good to know they are still out there though. Maybe this weekend.

I would have let that fish ride shotgun in my V! I respect you for letting it go though. Where is the "bow-down" smiley???? We need one of those!!

Season is over here and the wind hasn;t let up since Spet!!
Boat motor is all winterized and just need to get it covered.
