Glad all is well.
There are 2 kinds of boaters, those who have run aground, those that will run aground.

I think I am in both categories. I have run aground (nothing serious and at low speed) and I am sure I will run aground again. Oh, and I have hit partially submerged objects like large tree limbs before too. One time, I was tooling along down the Tippecanoe river at about 30-32 mph when all of a sudden the bow of the boat just dove and the stern came flying up to the point that the outdrive was sucking air. Turns out I had hit a very large submerged branch or tree that was floating along down the river. the thing got stuck in front of the outdrive and the stern of the boat was basically skiing on it, thus lifting the stern and almost ducking the bow. Very scary experience!
