Brielly, that's what I was just going to suggest. I guy named Buddy called me today , he was the guy that Capt Pete met a few weekends ago and was asking about where's and when. He also suggested the "north west" corner of the pack....says it can get pretty populated there to say the least. I guess thats the area I will shoot for...just look for a family with a beagle in a V-20 cruising around looking clueless

we had a great time Saturday with everybody. As usual we got a late start because getting 4 kids(not all mine) organized and ready to go anywhere can be a chore. The turnout was a little lower than I expected(only 3 strong including me). But we all got a chance to get to know each other pretty good and really check out each others boats. Hopefully we can do something like this every year. Maybe with better notice more people will show up. Anyhow, RW has a great family and a really nice boat(I want that back seat). And Buddy's boat looks like it came out of a time capsule from 1984. It was flawless. We saw lots of other v20's floating around including another yellow one like mine(what are the chances of that?) Actually I'm not suprised because there had to have been 2-300 boats anchored up at Tices Saturday. It was a zoo! But like I said before we all had a blast. I have a few pics but they are too big to upload. I need to wait for my fiance to get home from work to make them fit(i am not very good that kind of stuff) RW got some good pics that I'm sure he will post soon.

Well, like Pete said some of us members got to hook up this weekend out in Barnegat Bay. It was the first time for me down there and its a great place for boating. It was me, Pete and Buddy for most of the day.

Buddy was an active member back a few years but has not posted in quite a while he said....His screen name was Buddy Buoy and I guess at some time in the past the format changed and he never got around to re-registering....Hopefully he will be back, he would be a great asset to our site. We also enjoyed his meeting his wife Kathy (Cathy?). She and my wife seemed to have a great time getting to know each other. Buddy's boat is UNBELIEVABLE!. A 1984 that is absolutely perfect....A truly restored classic.... We were looking for Lumberslinger out there as he had said he might show , but I think maybe he saw this boat from afar and ran home to put another coat of wax on! We need the 2 side by side for a real competition!

Pete and his tribe then showed.....my sons eyes lit up....some kids to play with!!!....they had a big time swimming off the back and climbing on the monster tube that Pete brought. Pete like Buddy is another seasoned boater....he works part time for Boat US towing in the less fortunate....hopefully I never need his professional services. He has done a TON of work getting his V in shape...new transom, starboard access hatches, repaired and painted rod boxes, electronics...he needed to be documenting this stuff as he went and entertaining us over the winter but I guess he'll just have to make up for lost time.

We did get a brief hello to Brielly too....he was just leaving as we were getting there and think maybe they might have had enough of the crowd. I think the only inaccurate thing Pete said is the estimate of 2-300 boats....I think they may have easily been 2-3 times that amount.

MJ, Willy and the rest, hope your respective loved ones are doing ok.....I'm sure there will be plenty of more opportunity for a get together.

Here's some pics!!

Sorry we didn't get to meet up with you. We got there early and anchored in close. I took the kids over to the beach and had a great time. We had to leave early to get to a birthday party. Getting out of there was ridiculous. I had to pull the boat out a ways by the anchor line before I could fire it up and take off. Thats when I finally spotted you guys. BTW were you out crabbing the next day by Good Luck Pt? I saw 2 v20's tied up together on my way back to the marina.

Ju-Sey...you'd do much better getting responses if you would start a new thread with a question. When you put a question in at the end of a long thread alot of people might not read it because they have read most everything on there already and might not even see it.

BTW $350 sounds like a great deal.

And dont make me tell you a 3rd time
