Default Weekend lake dining report

A beautiful Saturday evening was enjoyed by me and Mrs. Blue, good friends and regular fishing buddies Chad and Cory along with Chad's GF and kids.

Me and the misses were allowed a date night by my sister who agreed to let our two girls spend the night (thanks sis). Chad and his crew hit the water earlier aboard the Reel Slick and me and Mrs. Blue met up with them via Blue Runner around 5:30 pm at Goat Island.

On the way to Goat Island:

Here is a pic or two from Goat Island showing the Reel Slick on the right and Blue Runner on the left:

About 7:30 we left the Island and headed around the corner to the High Rock Boat and Ski Club. It is a members only dining establishment with a large dance floor where the old school shaggers regularly dance into the night.

Here we are at our outdoor table:

This shot is taken from the deck area (where our table was) looking down onto the dock where we landed and tied up the boats for safekeeping as we dined:

Now another thing that is important to mention and somewhat unrelated to this post: Today is me and Mrs. Blue's 13th wedding anniversary! We are going out this evening and I'm still not sure where I'm taking her but I sure want it to be special because she is a special lady for putting up with me!

Mrs. Blue on the way to Goat Island...she has no idea I took this pic but I found her hair blowing in the wind irresistable:

We capped the evening off watching fireworks provided by Tamarac marina. They hold off an extra week on their 4th of July show as to not be in competition with the other shows....works out great!

Sorry, no pix of the fireworks....

We went out last night to a really good Japanese restaurant. Everything was perfect....before our dinner was ready I told her about the pic I took while she wasn't looking and showed it to her on my phone. She thought it was cool that I'd take a pic of her like that....and she said, "you must really love me" to which I replied, that is an understatement!

I agree with you all, good friends (you guys included), awesome wife, two beautiful daughters, the best boat ever made, my loving companion Hershey dog, somewhat stable employment for the moment, great parents and a wonderful loving sister - I am in heaven!

P.S. Going fishing this weekend...man it doesn't get any better than this!!

Thank you all!
