Hey boys,
It's been a long time. I'm looking for a project cuddy and Reel just posted the one that's only $$200 and 4 hours from me. I'm really looking at it hard but one of the pic kind of is turning me away. The one that shows the transom. To me it looks like the outer fiberglass shell is all f*&# up. I have done stringers before but not a transom. Should I be worried about the outer shell being damaged? I going to gut the boat and redo EVERYTHING so the rest doesn't really bother me just the one pic of the transom. What do you think??? PS it ends in one day http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ayphotohosting

The question is: are you will to do the work or willing to pay to have it repaired? If you are willing to do what is needed then it doesn't look too bad.

I don't mind the work I've redid most a CC, BUT I didn't have to do much the outer fiberglass shell. Just some paint and that type of thing nothing structural. My question is if the outer shell is damaged how hard is it to repair the outer fiberglass on the transom?

The glass looks fine but it is going to need a new transom! If you are going to recore it with wood you will be cutting the outer skin off any way, if you are going to pour a transom then after you get all the wood out you will see what is needed.
For $200 bucks I say go for it if you want to do all the work.
