Default Rod boxes for 73

Was there rod boxes for a steplift with saddle tanks? If so where could I find them? Boy im going to drive yall nuts with questions on this boat.

Don't worry about drivin' this crowd nuts...most of us are already there...

you hit on the problem of rod boxes with the location of the saddle-tanks, however, in my '74 I can see where there would be space for hod-holders attached horizontally forward of the tanks...open holders, not boxes...no doubt it would be a trick to attach to such a curve as exists inside the hull at that point, but w/some imagination, it's certainly doable

Yeah I can see Im going to have to get creative on a few things. I have a idea for rod storage on the sides but ill have to fab up some parts at work. Love the hull design on this boat. I think its going to do great on Lake Erie. Its just going to take alot of work and tinkering to get it there.
Does that honda do good on the back of your boat? I redid a 13' boston whaler afew years back and repowered it with a 40hp honda. I loved the setup and it really didnt ride low in that back.
