I am looking at adding your standard starboard swim platform to my 84 Steplift and would like to see where everyone else has them mounted as far as height and distance from the splashwell. Does anyone have a pic of their stern so I can get an idea? I splashed her yesterday and marked the waterline but not sure how much higher I should go. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I parused through the galleries and didn't see what I needed, found a bunch of bracket setups and full transom platforms but not the simple idea I am going for. I also searched for a while and found, I think it was hammer, talking about how he put his at the waterline at rest and it was a little too low, but otherwise no real placement discussions.

![]() Here's where mine sits from the water...w/the turbulence, it looks closer...I agree AT waterline is too low...at rest I like to have the top of mine 2-3" above the water...
