Default Photo Sharing Sites

I need your help - my work has blocked photobucket and kodak and I don't know what else. Please let me know what other photo sharing sites there are out there so I can try to find one that is not blocked!

If I can find one at least I'll still be able to post pictures even though I can't see the great majority of pictures posted by others. This isn't fair!! What do they want me to do work all day?? Gimmee a break!!

Picasa is sweet and extremely easy if you can also install the desktop portion. Give it a shot. I use it for all my pics. Google is taking over the world.

I gave up on those photo sharing sites years ago. For less than $5 per month I have my own domain hosted by Go Daddy with 10Gb of disk space.

There are other advantages as well like unlimitd email accounts, FTP access, etc....

You can even have an awesome home page like this:

http://www.monkeybutler.com

Or put up cool programs like this:

http://www.monkeybutler.com/valu.html

You could even run your own forum if you wanted to!

Kidding aside, my work now blocks most email attachments that contain images but they haven't caught on to FTP so I use the hosting account almost like a portable hard drive. Anything I upload from home I can grab from the orifice if I want. My daughter who is off to school has her own FTP account where she uploads pictures and I can download whenever I want. Works great for me.

You are going to laugh, but that is one of the big reasons I got interested in websites and hosting. Those free sites suck, especially Pornobucket.

I have used an FTP account like a portable drive before, but mostly I just use actual portable drives now and save the online space for websites.

Running your own forum sounds like fun, but unless you have a lot of time to spare, and preferably someone who knows what they are doing who is willing to help you, it can quickly take over your life.

Just put FireFox by Mozilla on a thumb drive at home and run it from the thumb drive at work. Then you can do whatever you want from there. You will by pass all there blocks by doing so. Here is the link.
