sorry bud, i just saw our question.
no, i didnt get the mermaid. what i did get though, is a hei matau (pronounced hey may tow) on my lower right leg.
it is a carved bone fish hook made by the maori people of new zealand.
it signifies respect for the sea and offers safe passage to those who wear it.
