I got out today 11/10. Gorgeous flat November V20 weather so we blew off stripers and went deep looking for bft. Didn't find any tuna but what a great boat ride!

Put the GoPro to good use. http://youtu.be/6OMfTZmE4Fc?list=UU4...znGospVOD6EJuw We did bring all the freezer-burnt bait I had to fish the Shark River Reef. Got 5 black seabass and a monster 17" porgy(scup) but it was a slow pick thru relentless bergalls. I think that is it for me this season. Probably pull the boat this weekend. maybe peek out the inlet and jig a bit if it is nice.

	- The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but obtainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope. Lucky Jack - .......The Surprise is not old; no one would call her old. She has a bluff bow, lovely lines. She's a fine seaboat: weatherly, stiff and fast, very fast, if she's well handled. No, she's not old; she's in her prime. 85' Wellcraft 20 Fisherman "Guale Girl" 1979 Alumnacraft 14 - STILL got holes in it 2006 WS Tarpon160f - "Mudd Butt" |

Nice flat ocean and thanks for sharing the vid / pics.

I believe one reason humans love to see whales and dolphins is because it confirms that we haven't completely screwed up the ocean - incredible creatures still thrive in it. ..................And as long as whales and dolphins thrive, maybe there's still hope for our ecosystem, and therefore, us as well. PS - I may be out there this coming Sunday, I'm just " V21 " on the radio ch 65. |
