they are tasty!!!!!!!!! Pull hard also, probably one of the most trying fish to catch, it will steal your bait and you will never know it happened till you pull up an empty hook. they call them convict fish not only for their stripes.

I've caught a few over the years, they are strong fighters for sure, and good eattin. They say you can use barnicles for bait to catch em, but all mine have come on regular bottom fishin bait.

Oh, and the bigest one I've ever caught was about half that size.

I fed a great big one about exactly 1 dozen fat sand fleas one time. Then I downsized the hook, completely covered the whole hook with fresh shrimp and hooked his butt. Unfortunately my little snoopy rod wasn't ready for what happened next. He headed south and my drag was not loose enough - SNAAAAAAP!

Caught is little brother on the next drop. Bummer.

caught them also. not my favorite fish, but anything is better than nothing
